This pre-recorded webinar helps Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) refresh their knowledge and skills. It ensures learners remain up-to-date with the essential aspects of their role.

Overview

HSR Stage 1 - 3 Refresher (Pre-recorded Webinar) course overview

Skills and knowledge can fade over time, particularly when they are not used regularly. For Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), this can impact confidence and effectiveness in carrying out the role. This HSR Stage 1–3 Refresher pre-recorded webinar provides a structured way to revisit key concepts and reinforce core skills.

We don't rely on passive, text-heavy content. Instead, this pre-recorded webinar focuses on reinforcing the core areas of the HSR role in a clear and structured way. Participants refresh their understanding of duty holders and their responsibilities, the role and functions of HSRs, risk management processes, incident reporting, and the importance of communication and culture in supporting effective health and safety practices.

IMPAC’s focus is on supporting HSRs to maintain their knowledge and confidence over time, rather than just completing a refresher requirement. Participants finish the course with the confidence to continue contributing to effective worker participation and health and safety practices in their workplaces, supported by access to the latest HSR Stage 1–3 IMPAC pocket guides.

Curriculum

What you'll cover

This course is designed for:
  • Health and Safety Representatives who have already completed IMPAC’s HSR Stage 1, 2 and 3 training.
  • HSRs who want to refresh their understanding of duty holders, HSR functions, risk management, incident reporting, and workplace communication.
  • Organisations that want existing HSRs to revisit the core concepts behind effective worker participation and workplace health and safety conversations.

Our approach

+IMPAC's HSR Stage 1 - 3 Refresher (Pre-recorded Webinar) training approach

This refresher is delivered as a focused online learning experience that helps previous HSR learners reconnect with the parts of the role that matter in practice. Instead of relying on long, text-heavy explanations, the course uses clear teaching, worked examples, and knowledge checks to bring the key concepts back into view.

Learners revisit how HSR duties sit within the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, what effective worker participation looks like, and how risk management and incident reporting link back to everyday decisions at work. The emphasis is on helping people recognise where things commonly slip, ask better questions, and step back into workplace conversations with more confidence.

A post-webinar quiz and supporting pocket guides reinforce the learning, so participants leave with something practical they can use after the refresher rather than simply ticking off completion.
