HSR Stage 1 - 3 Refresher (Pre-recorded Webinar)

This course is for HSRs who have already completed IMPAC’s HSR Stage 1, 2, and 3 training and want to refresh their knowledge. It is intended for those continuing in the HSR role who want to revisit responsibilities, HSR functions, risk management, incident reporting, and communication. It is not suitable for learners who have not previously completed HSR training.

HSR refresher training helps representatives maintain confidence and capability in carrying out their role effectively in the workplace. While refresher training is not specifically prescribed by law, keeping knowledge current is important where workplace systems, risks, or worker participation processes continue to evolve.

Yes, learners should already have completed HSR Stage 1, 2, and 3 training before starting this refresher.

This refresher is delivered online as a pre-recorded webinar through IMPAC’s LMS, allowing learners to complete the training at their own pace while revisiting HSR responsibilities and workplace health and safety practices.

This refresher pre-recorded webinar takes approximately 4 hours to complete, depending on the learner’s pace. Delivered online through IMPAC’s LMS, learners can complete the training at a time that suits them.

Yes, this course includes a post-webinar quiz to confirm learners understand key Health and Safety Representative concepts covered in the refresher.

To complete the quiz for this course, you'll need a government-issued photo ID and a working camera on your device. This course uses Asgard, a biometric identity verification tool built into IMPAC's learning system, which checks your ID against your face to confirm it's really you sitting the assessment. Because pre-recorded webinars can be watched anytime and from anywhere, this step helps ensure the certificate reflects who actually completed the training. Asgard discards your ID immediately after verification — it isn't stored in any system.

No, this refresher does not award new NZQA unit standards. It is designed to refresh and reinforce existing HSR knowledge and workplace application for learners who have already completed HSR training. Learners needing unit standards should complete the relevant full HSR training.

The refresher revisits the core parts of the HSR role, including duty holder responsibilities, HSR functions, risk management, incident reporting, and workplace communication. It focuses on reconnecting these concepts to practical workplace situations and helping learners apply them more confidently in their role.
