Our approach
+IMPAC's Introduction to NZ H&S Legislation (eLearning) training approach
This Introduction to NZ Health and Safety Legislation (eLearning) course is designed to make legal duties easier to understand and apply. Rather than expecting people to work through legislation on their own, the content is broken into clear modules that explain what each duty holder is responsible for and how those responsibilities show up in real workplaces.
Learners work through practical examples and scenarios covering PCBU, officer, and worker duties, worker participation, and the role of the regulator. The focus is on connecting the wording of the Act to everyday decisions, such as who needs to act, what good participation looks like, and where documentation supports safer work.
Because the course is self-paced, learners can move through the content at a pace that allows them to absorb key concepts before completing the assessment. By the end, participants are better placed to recognise their responsibilities, understand how engagement and representation fit into the law, and support more consistent health and safety practice at work.
