Information provided for assessment is treated as confidential and used solely for completing the assessment. Your organisation and contact details are shared with any PREQUAL client organisation. Your Prequalification results and report are accessible only to you and any PREQUAL client organisation you grant access to.

Typically, the assessment process takes between two and four weeks. The sooner you provide any additional requested information, the quicker we can complete your assessment. Valid insurances, particularly liability insurances, are important for organisations procuring services from contractors and suppliers. To streamline the process and make it easier for contractors and suppliers, we gather insurance information as part of the prequalification process, ensuring it is readily available to client organisations. We also assist you in maintaining your insurance information, updating it as needed when policies expire.

Your prequalification will be assessed by one of our assessors. Our assessor team is made up of some of the most experienced prequalification specialists in New Zealand. Combining qualification and practical health and safety experience with at least 5+ years of specific prequalification assessing experience, each assessor is well poised to deliver a robust, accurate and fair prequalification.

Each question is scored from 0 to 4. A score of 0 indicates no evidence was supplied or a required question was answered 'NO'. Scores from 1 to 4 are based on meeting the evidence requirements outlined in the 'General Scoring Guidance' in the HELP section for each question.
When determining a score, the quality of evidence is assessed against what is reasonably practicable for an organisation of your size and risk areas, legislative expectations, and best practices. Your assessor will provide feedback on each requirement to highlight any shortfalls.
Questions marked as non-applicable (N/A) are excluded from scoring calculations. For PREQUAL assessments, questions requiring more evidence or effort, especially legislative requirements, have a higher weighting.

If initial assessment information was inaccurate or immediate improvements were made, reassessment can be requested. Eligibility requires the assessment to have been completed within the last 6 months. Only specific questions or elements can be reassessed. It does not guarantee an improved outcome and will not affect the original report's validity period.

No, the assessment is a snapshot in time. Please keep your updated H&S records in a safe place so you can submit them when your H&S Prequalification is up for renewal.

Yes, if your business circumstances or H&S management systems have changed, you can complete a new assessment to obtain an updated H&S Prequalification that reflects your current status.

The process is designed to ensure accuracy and quality from the start, eliminating the need for a standard appeal process. However, if you have specific concerns about the assessment, you can request a review of specific areas of concern within a month from completion.

A H&S Prequalification assessment can be applied to a single organisation or multiple entities under one management system. If your subsidiaries operate under a single management entity, they can be included in the Prequalification of that entity.

Yes, international organisations working for New Zealand clients can complete a prequalification. However, their policies and procedures must comply with New Zealand legislation, and evidence must come from their New Zealand branch or division.
