Careers at IMPAC: Join New Zealand's Health and Safety experts
If you believe that health and safety is just an administrative exercise—a matter of writing a thick enough manual and ticking compliance boxes until the auditor goes away—you will not fit in at IMPAC.
We fundamentally reject the bureaucratic mindset that strangles New Zealand businesses with red tape over paper cuts. We are Champions of Common Sense. We employ practitioners, not theorists. Whether you are a seasoned critical risk consultant, an engaging trainer, or an emerging health and safety professional, we want people who know how to de-clutter the complex and engineer fatal hazards out of daily operations.
If you are ready to make a genuine, physical difference to the way Kiwis work, we want you on our team.
Consulting vacancies: We want practitioners
We are always on the lookout for uncompromising, passionate health and safety consultants to join our national advisory team.
Our consultants act as expert sounding boards for executive boards, operations managers, and frontline leaders. We drop into complex, highly commercial environments to solve problems, not to create more paperwork. If you have a deep, practical background in high-risk industries, understand the realities of commercial pressure, and have the backbone to tell a CEO the unvarnished truth about their safety culture, we want to hear from you. We look for consultants who ruthlessly focus on the Identify > Assess > Control > Monitor framework to prevent serious harm.
Join our dynamic Training Team
Are you a health and safety professional with an unwavering passion for sharing your knowledge and upskilling others? We are actively seeking individuals with a dynamic, engaging facilitation style to join our nationwide Training Team.
Our trainers collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, delivering targeted training both in-house and through our public courses. Depending on your experience, you could be delivering everything from H&S Representative Training and Wellbeing at Work, through to advanced Risk Management, ICAM Investigation Techniques, and the NEBOSH International Diploma.
What we look for in our trainers:
- Hands-on, practical experience in an H&S role or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of H&S legislation (HSWA 2015) and its application across various industries.
- The ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in diverse workforces.
- Preferred qualifications: A recognised Health and Safety qualification and an Adult Education qualification.
We are a supportive, vibrant team of trainers from diverse backgrounds who work in a collaborative environment that values innovation over dogma.
