
Changes to Work at Heights Training in 2026
What are the changes?
- Each unit standard is now a separate course.
- WAH training can no longer cover multiple unit standards in either a 1-day or 2-day course.
- Training is split into learning modules for each unit standard.
- There will be more focus on practical application.
- Training is aligned to the learning your workers need.
What are the unit standards?
US23229 (L3, C4) Basic Heights – Harness Training
- Use safety harness system when working at height
- “Basic” training, in-person
- 1 day course
US15757 (L3, C4) Height Safety Systems
- Use, install and disestablish temporary proprietary height safety systems when working at height
- “Advanced” training, in-person 1 day course
- Can be scheduled as Day 2 training, following US23229 on Day 1
US17600 (L3, C3) Safe Working at Heights
- Explain safe work practices for working at heights
- In-person 1 day course or self paced eLearning module
US25045 (L3, C4) Employ height safety equipment in the workplace
- In-person, 1 day course, theory and practical
- Only available on site in your workplace environment
