Our approach
+IMPAC's Basic Heights - Harness Training training approach
IMPAC’s working at heights training focuses on what learners need to do with a harness before they rely on it. Trainers work through equipment types, pre-use inspection, fit, adjustment, and the practical checks that help people recognise faults before they become a problem on site.
The course combines guided instruction with practical application, so learners are not left trying to connect the theory on their own. Participants work through examples and practical activities that show how harnesses fit within a wider height safety system, what can go wrong when equipment is poorly fitted or incorrectly used, and why emergency planning needs to be considered before work starts. The training also reinforces how equipment selection, inspection, and use support safer work at height rather than creating a false sense of security.
