Overview

Fire Warden (Pre-recorded Webinar) course overview

Treating a fire drill like an excuse to stand in the car park for ten minutes does little to prepare people for a real emergency. When an alarm sounds, wardens need to understand their role, act with confidence, and be prepared to lead others to evacuate safely. This pre-recorded Fire Warden webinar is designed for those appointed as fire wardens, as well as team leaders and managers who may take on that role.

This is not just about meeting a compliance requirement. This pre-recorded webinar guides learners through the key elements of emergency response, including evacuation requirements, communication, and coordination. Participants develop a clear understanding of their role, how to manage fire drills, and how to communicate effectively during an evacuation, as well as how to identify potential fire hazards and liaise with emergency services when they arrive on site.

IMPAC’s focus is on building capable people who can lead and support evacuations in a calm and effective way. Participants finish the course with a clear understanding of their responsibilities, the confidence to take action when it matters, and access to an IMPAC pocket guide to support them in their role. They are ready to apply their skills in an emergency to support safe, well-managed evacuations.

Curriculum

What you'll cover

This course is designed for:

  • Designated fire wardens who need a clear understanding of their evacuation responsibilities.
  • Team leaders, supervisors, and managers who may need to coordinate people during an alarm or emergency.
  • HR professionals who support workplace safety training and emergency preparedness.
  • Workers in organisations that need capable people ready to lead or support a safe evacuation.

Our approach

+IMPAC's Fire Warden (Pre-recorded Webinar) training approach

This fire warden training course is delivered as a pre-recorded webinar that takes learners through the role of a workplace fire warden in a clear, structured way. Rather than relying on abstract theory, it uses practical explanations and realistic workplace scenarios to show what wardens need to notice, communicate, and do when an alarm sounds.

Learners work through evacuation responsibilities, communication points, fire hazard awareness, and coordination during drills and real emergencies. The focus is on helping people understand how the role applies in their own workplace, so they can support a calm, organised evacuation rather than simply knowing the rules on paper.
