This interactive online course provides a broad understanding of sustainability and a range of practical skills to apply in the workplace including collecting and collating environmental or sustainability data through to providing routine checks on legislative or pollution prevention measures. The course covers all the areas of knowledge required to become an Associate Member of ISEP (AISEP). 

This course previously called IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management is delivered by +IMPAC partner Make UK. Make UK are champions for the manufacturing sector in the United Kingdom, providing businesses in their region with access to Health + Safety training in addition to HR, Legal, Cyber Security, Learning and Development support and expertise. Our partnership provides our clients with additional opportunities to gain globally recognised H+S qualifications with highly experienced international trainers.

ISEP Foundation Certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Management (AISEP) course overview

Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword. For many organisations, it reflects a broader responsibility to protect the environment and leave it better than we found it. Turning that intent into action, however, requires more than good intentions. Without the ability to understand environmental impacts, work with data, and apply practical solutions, sustainability efforts can struggle to deliver meaningful results. The ISEP Foundation Certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Management provides an introduction to sustainability and the skills needed to support environmental performance in the workplace.
 
Delivered by IMPAC’s training partner, Make UK, this interactive online course focuses on real-world application. Participants develop an understanding of global environmental trends, sustainable business practices, and key legislation, while building capability in collecting and analysing data, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting environmental initiatives. Through this partnership, IMPAC provides access to globally recognised training delivered by experienced international facilitators.
 
IMPAC’s focus is on connecting clients with high-quality training that builds real capability. Participants leave with an ISEP Foundation Certificate, a pathway to Associate Membership (AISEP), and the confidence to contribute to sustainability initiatives in a practical and measurable way within their organisation.

Our approach

+IMPAC's ISEP Foundation Certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Management (AISEP) training approach

This course is delivered by IMPAC’s partner Make UK as an interactive online programme that combines tutor-led teaching with discussion, worked examples, and practical exercises. The focus is on moving beyond high-level sustainability concepts and understanding how environmental management, data, and improvement activity show up in everyday workplace decisions.

Training uses examples and applied exercises to build confidence in identifying environmental impacts, recognising risks and opportunities, interpreting sustainability information, and communicating with stakeholders. The focus stays on what matters: understanding what good practice looks like and applying it in a way that is useful within each learner’s role and organisation.
