Our approach
+IMPAC's ICAM Awareness training approach
This ICAM training is delivered as a practical introduction to how incident investigation works in real workplaces. The course works step by step through the investigation process, from first response through to report sign-off, with a clear focus on what managers and supervisors need to notice, protect, and communicate when an incident occurs.
Rather than treating ICAM as theory-only content, the training uses guided discussion, workplace examples, and scenario-based learning to show how evidence is gathered, how multiple causes are identified, and how organisational and human factors shape outcomes. The emphasis stays on helping participants understand where early decisions and actions influence the quality of an investigation and where common mistakes can undermine the process.
