Upon successful completion of training by a registered forklift trainer, operators are issued with a certificate to serve as proof of training received. It is recommended that appropriate refresher training is undertaken every three years. Full details may be found in the Approved Code of Practice for Training Operators and Instructors of Powered Industrial Lift Trucks (Forklifts).
This is a supplementary course and does not provide a forklift licence or F endorsement for licensing requirements.
Many different types of attachments are used for different purposes. This initial training and assessment may not cover training on specialised attachments used in different industry sectors or individual organisations. In such instances, an obligation exists to provide training to operators on specialised attachments used in their place of work, in accordance with regulations.
