This assessment resit is for learners who have previously completed the NEBOSH International General Certificate training but were referred in one or more assessment units and now need to resit.
Yes, learners need to have completed the NEBOSH International General Certificate through IMPAC or another NEBOSH Learning Partner before booking a resit. The resit is intended for learners who have already completed the training and need to reattempt or complete the formal assessment.
Yes. Learners do not need to have completed their original NEBOSH training with IMPAC to book a NEBOSH assessment resit through us. If you completed your training with another provider, please contact IMPAC to discuss your assessment history and eligibility requirements before booking.
No. In most cases, learners can book a resit for the specific assessment unit that has not yet been successfully completed. This allows learners to focus on the outstanding assessment requirement rather than repeating the entire qualification.
A NEBOSH assessment resit covers the specific assessment unit you still need to complete, such as IG1, IG2, GIC1, or GIC2. It is a resit pathway rather than a full training course, allowing learners to complete the assessment component required for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
If you are still on the 2019 syllabus, your final assessment opportunity is 5 August 2026. After that date, learners who have not achieved both units move to the 2025 syllabus, with any already achieved units carrying over as exemptions.
Yes. The open book exam units can be completed remotely, and the practical units are submitted digitally. IG1 and GIC1 are completed within a 24-hour assessment window, while IG2 and GIC2 require learners to apply their knowledge in a workplace-based project and submit it by the relevant deadline.
Yes. Successfully completing a resit can help learners achieve the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety if they still need to pass one or more assessment units.
The assessment resit fee is $400 + GST for IMPAC learners and $550 + GST for external learners.
