Curriculum
What you'll cover
This course is designed for:
- Anyone involved in operations and maintenance who completes job safety analysis for new or existing tasks.
- Learners who already hold NZQA Unit Standard 19522 and need to refresh how they carry out JSAs in day-to-day work.
- Supervisors, team leaders, and workers who need to revisit task breakdown, hazard identification, and control selection before risk fatigue leads to poor-quality JSAs.
- Organisations that want a more consistent approach to job safety analysis, work method statements, and safe operating procedures across the workplace.
Our approach
+IMPAC's Job Safety Analysis Refresher training approach
Across the session, learners revisit the difference between hazards and risks, prepare work method statements, and work step by step through how a JSA should be completed for a specified job. The focus is on sharpening judgement and consistency, so participants leave better able to spot weak assumptions, apply the hierarchy of controls, and turn JSA documents into something useful on the job.
