HSR Stage 2: Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation

This course suits Health and Safety Representatives, supervisors, team leaders, frontline managers, engineers, project managers, contract managers, designers, and others involved in risk management. It is especially useful for people expected to identify hazards, assess risks, contribute to investigations, or help improve workplace controls. It is also relevant for those influencing how work is planned or reviewed.

HSR Stage 2 training is not specifically required by law, but it is a practical next step for representatives involved in workplace risk assessment, incident investigation, and worker participation processes. Training helps HSRs build confidence in identifying risks, contributing to investigations, and supporting safer work practices.

Learners need written and spoken English equivalent to NCEA Level 1 (Year 11) or an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher. If a learner may need additional support, please contact our team before enrolment to discuss available support options.
