Overview

Blended First Aid Training course overview

Knowing where the first aid kit is located won’t help if someone is injured or becomes unwell and no one knows what to do next. In an emergency, hesitation and uncertainty can make a difficult situation worse. This Blended Workplace First Aid course is designed to give learners the skills and confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of workplace and community emergencies.

This course combines online learning with practical, face-to-face training to build both knowledge and hands-on capability. Learners complete the theory component at their own pace before attending an in-person session focused on applying skills in realistic scenarios. Participants develop the ability to assess an incident, manage hazards, and provide first aid for serious injuries and sudden illness. The course covers CPR and AED use, bleeding and shock management, burns, fractures, and conditions such as asthma, stroke, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.

IMPAC’s focus is on building capable people who can step in and provide first aid when it matters. Participants leave with a clear understanding of how to assess and manage an emergency, provide care until help arrives, and support safer outcomes for those involved. Your team steps back into the workplace or community with the confidence to respond appropriately and take action when needed.

Curriculum

What you'll cover

This course is designed for:

  • Workplace employees who may need to respond to injuries or sudden illness on site.
  • School staff and teachers responsible for learner and staff wellbeing.
  • Community volunteers who need practical first aid capability in public or community settings.
  • Caregivers and parents who want the confidence to respond when someone needs help.
  • Members of the general public who want practical first aid and CPR skills for everyday emergencies.

Our approach

+IMPAC's Blended First Aid Training training approach

IMPAC delivers this training in a way that helps people stay calm, think clearly, and act when an emergency unfolds. Learners work through the core first aid process step by step, then practise applying it in realistic workplace and community scenarios rather than only talking through theory.

The face-to-face session focuses on practical decision-making and hands-on response. That includes CPR, AED use, incident assessment, hazard management, and managing common injuries and sudden illness until further help arrives. The aim is to make the learning usable in real settings, so people leave knowing not just what first aid means, but what to do next.
