This course provides practical knowledge and techniques for the supervision, front line management and oversight for the removal of Friable and/or Non-Friable asbestos-containing materials.
The unit includes planning and supervision for the preparation and execution for enclosing and removing friable and / or non-friable ACMs. This includes knowledge in creating, obtaining, clarifying and applying working instructions to support the safe removal, decontamination and disposal of asbestos containing materials. Learners gain NZQA Unit Standard 29767 upon successful completion. This course also covers the development and revision of applicable supporting documentation such as ARCPs, SWMS Safe Working Method Statements (JSA), Incident/accident response reporting and other health and safety risks associated with asbestos removal.
