IMPAC Endorsement in Critical Risk Management

The IMPAC Endorsement in Critical Risk Management recognises individuals’ demonstrated critical risk management capability.

You earn the IMPAC Endorsement in Critical Risk Management by completing Critical Risk Management Fundamentals and Critical Control Verification within 12 months of each other, then completing the required post-course work within 3 months of the Verification course date.

Critical risk management applies to all industries and organisations, whatever their size — it isn't limited to traditionally high-risk sectors or large businesses. If your organisation has hazards that could cause catastrophic or life-changing harm — such as work at height, confined spaces, hazardous energy, mobile plant, electricity, or hazardous substances — this Endorsement will be relevant for you.

Each course can be completed on its own, but the IMPAC Endorsement is only earned by completing both Critical Risk Management Fundamentals and Critical Control Verification.

Yes, you can — but please note the Endorsement pathway discount would not be applied. The $200 package saving only applies when Fundamentals and Verification are booked together.

If you're planning to go for the Endorsement, we'd recommend applying within 2 months of completing Verification, to leave enough time to submit your post-course work within the required 3-month window.

Yes — Fundamentals and Verification must both be completed within 12 months of each other to count toward the IMPAC Endorsement.

Yes — the courses can be completed in either order, though we recommend starting with Critical Risk Management Fundamentals, and then Critical Control Verification.

No — there are no entry requirements or prerequisites to pursue the IMPAC Endorsement.

Both Critical Risk Management Fundamentals and Critical Control Verification are one-day courses.

You receive an IMPAC Endorsement certificate, plus an email footer credential for your signature.

No — the IMPAC Endorsement is issued directly by IMPAC. It isn't NZQA-approved or accredited by an external body but recognises individuals' demonstrated critical risk capability, based on the specific critical controls covered in Fundamentals and Verification.

This Endorsement does not include all possible critical controls, but recognises the specific critical controls you completed during training and post-course work.

Booking both courses together as part of the Endorsement pathway costs $1,090 + GST, with a $200 discount applied to the Critical Control Verification course.
