ESL +IMPAC Scholarship Awarded: Mia Alunno presented valuable NEBOSH study grant
12 February, 2024 | NewsAs a proud Network Partner of NZISM’s Emerging Safety Leaders, +IMPAC is thrilled to provide a valuable opportunity for a budding health and safety professional to study the internationally recognised NEBOSH International General Certificate, up to the value of $13,500.
Selecting the recipient from the high-calibre applicants within the ESL Network was a challenge. However, after careful consideration, we’re excited to announce that Mia Alunno, HSW Advisor at Talley’s, has been awarded the 2024 ESL +IMPAC Scholarship.
Mia stood out to the judging panel for her contributions towards implementing valuable H+S initiatives within her organisation. Her dedication to advocating for workers facing language barriers showcased her passion for developing a strong safety culture accessible to all workers.
As the only NZ-based NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner, +IMPAC is proud to offer Mia the opportunity to study the internationally recognised NEBOSH International General Certificate programme.
By awarding Mia the ESL +IMPAC Scholarship, the panel recognises her as an exceptional Emerging Safety Leader, committed to growing and sharing her knowledge with others in the industry.
Additionally, the panel identified two other deserving applicants, Sarah Henderson of Goodman Fielder and Kaitlyn Mcrae of Oranga Tamariki. They have each been granted training opportunities valued at $1500 on one of IMPAC's Auditing HSMS, ICAM Investigation Techniques, or Bowtie Fundamentals courses.
IMPAC would like to thank all ESL members who applied, sharing their experiences and desire to grow New Zealand's H+S community. We also look forward to helping other ESL members to develop their skills throughout the coming year.
