TEST RESULTS
To-date, testing has not discovered any microbe that Liquid Guard® does not defeat. Liquid Guard® has been proven to give a physical, non-mutating 99.99% kill. Independently tested and verified for performance against common viruses, bacteria, fungal infections, algae and yeasts. Liquid Guard® is certified to eliminate many different organisms including:
- TGEV Coronavirus
- Listeria
- Salmonella
- Influenza A
- Strep Mutans
- Haemophilus
- E Coli
- Tuberculosis
- Pseudomonas
- Clostridium
- Candida Albicans
- Aspergillus
Liquid Guard® Certified for Use in New Zealand
Liquid Guard® has been independently tested and verified for performance against common viruses, bacteria, fungal infections, algae, and yeasts. This includes both the Influenza A and TGEV Coronavirus – SARS CoV.

The tests were carried out by EUROVIR Hygiene Laboratory. This is a well-respected German laboratory that carries out antiviral/antibacterial tests of products and measures for their effectiveness against microbial activity (viruses and bacteria) according to German and European (EN) standards, and German as well as European guidelines.
Two reports of the virus inactivation properties of Liquid Guard® are provided. When measuring viral inactivation, a Log measure is used with the following scale:
- 1 log reduction = 90% reduction
- 2 log reduction = 99% reduction
- 3 log reduction = 99.9% reduction
- 4 log reduction = 99.99% reduction
- 5 log reduction = 99.999% reduction
- 6 log reduction = 99.9999% reduction
- Looking at the results for the TGEV test (Coronavirus – SARS-CoV) the product provides 0.97 Log after 1 hour – equating to 90% viral inactivation; 2.7 Log after 8 hours – equating to 99.8% reduction; and the 24 hour mark was limited to >2.25 Log due to technical reasons but would be at least the same as 8 hours. Testing against SAR CoV2 is currently being undertaken in Europe and all expectations including independent specialist views are that Liquid Guard® will be as effective in killing SARS CoV2.
- For the Influenza A Virus (H1N1) test the following was recoded: 1 hour 0.0 Log; 8 hours = 1 Log (90%) virus inactivation; 24 hours = 2.0 Log (99% inactivation). So not as fast as on the Corona Virus but still high levels of viral inactivation.
