On 27th November, the District Court found the former CEO of Ports of Auckland Ltd, Tony Gibson, guilty of charges under section 48 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSW Act). Section 48 is the failure to comply with a duty that exposes an individual to a risk of serious injury, serious illness, or death.
