Experience shines: IMPAC’s 2023 Internship awarded to standout Emerging Safety Leader
3 August, 2023 | NewsAs Network Partner, +IMPAC is proud to provide a paid internship to one of NZISM’s Emerging Safety Leaders (ESL), to kickstart their Health and Safety career. This cycle we were pleased to have a record number of quality applicants, but one in particular stood out. We are delighted to announce the successful candidate for the +IMPAC Internship is Angela Betbeder who will be based in our Auckland office.
+IMPAC Director Gabby Aves says, “We were impressed by Angela’s achievements to date including running her own successful business for 25 years and the passion she’s demonstrated for the safety and wellbeing of her colleagues and workers in a number of roles. The +IMPAC Internship acknowledges her as an exceptional Emerging Safety Leader, and we’re excited to help her recognise this potential with mentoring, training and hands-on experience across our multiple H+S products and solutions.”
Having already achieved her NEBOSH IGC, Angela has shown commitment to furthering her professional development and through our internship she will also be supported through a H+S training pathway.
Angela is excited to be learning from some of New Zealand’s leading H+S practitioners at +IMPAC and hopes to gain the confidence and knowledge to hold senior H+S positions in the future. She has a particular interest in consulting and reducing the injury rate in the construction industry.
Angela’s first-hand business experience, coupled with her strong organisational skills, make her a great asset to +IMPAC and we’re looking forward to introducing her to our team and clients over the coming weeks.
We would like to thank all the ESL members who took the time to apply. Our industry is fortunate to have so many enthusiastic and passionate practitioners eager to develop their careers in H+S. We look forward to helping newcomers to develop networks and skills with ESL in the future.
