Overview

Working at Heights Refresher (Pre-recorded Webinar) course overview

Over time, working at height can become routine. Familiarity can lead to shortcuts, reduced attention to detail, and a drop in how controls are applied. This pre-recorded Working at Heights Refresher webinar revisits the knowledge and skills required to safely plan and carry out work at height.

We don’t treat refresher training as something to rush through just to renew a certificate. Instead, this webinar focuses on reinforcing the critical elements that can slip over time, including risk assessment, equipment inspection, correct fitting, and the application of controls. It also revisits emergency planning, permit requirements, and legislative responsibilities to ensure learners remain aligned with current best practice and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Participants step back into the workplace with refreshed knowledge and a renewed focus on applying controls correctly, identifying risks, and ensuring work is carried out safely.

Curriculum

What you'll cover

This course is designed for:
  • Workers who regularly carry out tasks at height and need to refresh their knowledge and practical application of controls.
  • Industrial workers, supervisors, and facility maintenance staff involved in day-to-day work at height activities.
  • Safety officers, health and safety personnel, managers, and compliance officers responsible for safe systems of work.
  • Organisations wanting experienced workers to revisit risk assessment, equipment checks, emergency planning, and permit requirements for height-related tasks.

Our approach

+IMPAC's Working at Heights Refresher (Pre-recorded Webinar) training approach

IMPAC’s working at heights refresher pre-recorded webinar is built for people who already know the basics and need to revisit the decisions that matter most when the work becomes routine. The learning moves back through the practical checkpoints that usually drift over time, including how hazards are identified, how controls are chosen and applied, and what needs to be checked before the task starts.

The course uses clear examples to reconnect height safety knowledge with real work. Learners revisit equipment inspection and fitting, permit and documentation expectations, and the steps involved in planning for an emergency if something goes wrong at height. Rather than adding unnecessary theory, the focus stays on safe judgement and consistent application in day-to-day work.
