Preventing back Injuries

This practical course has been designed to provide all staff with an understanding of the risk factors involved with manual handling and how to minimise risk, as well as practical manual handling techniques.
Injuries caused by manual handling are one of the most common causes of time off from work and can be a considerable cost to the employer. These injuries often also cause severe discomfort or disability for the injured person.
This course is ideal for all employees who are involved in planning and / or undertaking manual handling tasks and is usually offered as a 1-day course along with Prevention and Management of Discomfort, Pain, and Injury (DPI).
After completing this course, you’ll have knowledge and practical skills in:
• How the spine works
• The risk factors for injuring your back
• Techniques for preventing back injury
• Workplace control measures to reduce the risk of back injury
$2700 + GST up to 12 students and $149 for each additional student (max of 16)
