• Recognise and develop the key aspects of health and safety culture
• Recognise key elements of a health and safety management system and identify existing business management systems that will aid in applying health and safety within your organisation
• Understand core hazard and risk management concepts, and your role and key focus areas to ensure hazards and risks are effectively managed
• Understand key incident causation principles including the concept of multiple contributing factors, and identify what a good investigation and corrective actions look like
• Know which performance indicators are best able to drive health and safety performance improvement within your organisation
• Know how you can make a difference within your sphere of influence and be able to confidently lead health and safety through the use of practical tools and techniques
